1. Use facial cleansing soap according to skin type

Not everyone has the same type of facial skin. Some have normal, dry, oily, sensitive, or combination skin types. Different types of skin, different types of treatment products are suitable for use.

For example, for people who have dry and sensitive skin, it is advisable to choose a soft chemical facial soap product with a content that can moisturize the skin, and does not contain alcohol and fragrance.

2. Clean your face regularly

One of the simplest ways to take care of facial skin is to clean your face regularly. To keep your face clean, you need to wash your face twice a day, which is in the morning and at night before going to bed.

Cleansing the face in the morning aims to remove dirt and bacteria that may stick to the face during sleep. Before going to bed, the face also needs to be cleaned of the makeup, dust, and pollution that sticks to the face during your activities outside the house.

If necessary, clean your face whenever you finish doing activities that cause you to sweat a lot, for example after exercising. This is because excessive sweating and oil on the face can clog the pores of the facial skin, thus triggering the appearance of blackheads and acne.

3. Clean your face the right way

In addition to being done regularly, how to clean the face also needs to be done correctly. To clean your face, start by washing your face with warm water.

Next, use face wash soap and start cleaning your face by doing a gentle circular massage using your fingertips. After that, rinse the face with water, then dry it by patting the face gently using a clean towel.

4. Use moisturiser

Wearing moisturizers is also an important part of how to take care of the skin of the face. Facial moisturizer should be used after washing your face. This is done to maintain the natural moisture of the facial skin.

However, you need to choose a moisturizer according to the skin type. If you have acne-prone and oily skin, opt for a water-based, oil-free moisturiser.

A good facial moisturizer usually contains ingredients that serve to restore the natural structure and moisture of the facial skin, maintain the pH balance of the skin, reduce the effects of free radicals, and repair damage to skin cells and tissues.

Some effective ingredients to moisturize the skin include glycerol, ceramide,and niacinamide.

5. Use sunscreen

The use of sunscreen is useful to protect the skin from exposure to UV rays that are able to cause skin discoloration and skin cancer, as well as trigger the appearance of spots or spots on the face and wrinkles.

When using sunscreen, you are advised to choose a special sunscreen for the face with SPF 30 and use it daily even if the weather is not hot though. The use of sunscreen needs to be repeated every 2 hours or more often when you are active in the sun.
